A Free Trade Zone (FTZ) also called foreign-trade zone, formerly free port is an area within which goods may be landed, handled, manufactured or reconfigured, and re-exported without the intervention of the customs authorities.Free zones (sometimes called a free economic zone, duty free zone, tax free zone, trade free zone or free trade zone) in the U. A. E allow 100% foreign ownership and have no taxes.Each free zone has its own specific requirements regarding minimum office/warehouse space and permitted activities. the different free zones in U.
